Beta - 21S is a mestastable beta alloy that offers high specific strength and good formability, and has been designed for improved oxidation resistance, elevated temperature strength, creep resistance and thermal stability. It is most useful for application above 300 캜. Because it can be economically rolled to foil and is compatible with most fibres, it is also well suited for metal matrix composites.
